About Eco Homes Australia
At Eco Homes Australia, we are passionate about our environment and the Queensland building industry. With this in mind, all our new home builds are constructed using Structural Insulated Panels – an environmentally conscious building material known widely for its strength, versatility, and outstanding insulation properties.
All Eco Homes Australia’s homes can be constructed in about one third of the time it takes to build an equivalent frame and brick home, with 100 more benefits to the surrounding environment.
The Eco Homes Australia team are passionate about working with clients to design their dream eco-friendly home, considering all aspects from the environment through to your lifestyle; creating a home that not only looks good, but reduces your cost of living, reduces your carbon footprint and is amazing to live in.
What Are Structural Insulated Panels?
An innovative construction method which enables Eco Homes Australia to build stronger, healthier and more comfortable homes faster with more precision.
Structural Insulated Panels are an efficient, lightweight and sustainable material used for walls, roofs and floors. While known for reducing material costs and site labour time, the panel technology is also ideal for creating airtight and energy-efficient homes. The result is a house that is extremely strong, efficient and cost effective.
Tried and tested at the James Cook University. Our construction method was built for cyclone regions and has a cyclone tie down at the join of every panel on external walls (every 900mm) making it almost indestructible.
Fire rated and non-combustible material

Impervious to water
Complete protection against termites
No timber framing means no termites, ever!
Double the insulation value (R value) of a conventional build
This equals more comfort and less energy costs year-round.
High acoustic rating
Less noise means more peace and quiet. Our building method is acoustic rated which means less external noise for you and your family. This is particularly useful these days as our blocks get smaller and the houses closer together. No one wants to hear their neighbour’s television over their own.
More internal floor space than a conventional build
As our wall thickness is only 90mm and not the 230mm of a conventional build we can fit more room into our floor plans. Perfect for small lot homes.

Healthier buildings with very low VOC emissions
Conventional building methods use timber treated with chemicals that can leach out over time creating a harmful environment for you and your family. At EHA we even use low VOC paint creating the cleanest environment possible for you and your family, after all your home should be your sanctuary!
Reduced construction time
Our building method allows us to get all materials to site required for lock up at once, greatly reducing construction time and avoiding the possibility for unwanted delays. Once the slab is down our homes can be built to lock up in as little as 15 days.
Reducing our carbon footprint
We do this by reducing travel/ deliveries to site, reducing energy costs year-round and reducing construction waste.
